Angel faces fall from grace
To swoon the night’s drunken pace
And in their place a candle sparks
That marks the festival’s end
Comets rain from tear to cheek
Sonnets drown in river streets
Ripples wash her naked feet
She will never come again
And moonlight mirrors not a trace
Of time nor moment in its place
Ascend to space to live alone
Oh memory past your reach
Past the clouds that laugh at her
Who shout at you through thunderstorms
By Sober's hand, delusion forms
What origin spawned her harm?
And caused Poseidon to summon waves
You trek through years, then months, and days
To stop abruptly as time-line fades
What is written on your face?
She’s like the moon who tells not truth
But plays no farce and knows no rouse
She turns and walks away from you
To interpret what she says
